This is Clarabelle, isn’t she beautiful? She came to us a few months ago as a challenge because she was aggressive. She is between 1-2 and completely vetted. Before you want her, you need to know about her. Please read the whole story and then decide if you are willing and able to take her on.
Here are her good points:
she loves like crazy
she is a lap dog and loves to sleep with you
she rolls over for tummy pets a zillion times a day
she is good with cats
Now for the challenges:
takes about 2 days to earn her trust
is very aggressive towards strangers
is resource protective, including food and her person
she is a little grouchy around other dogs
is mostly potty trained, unless it’s cold or raining
very insecure and frequently sucks on her bed or a blanket for comfort
What does this all mean? It means she needs someone to understand that she is a special girl that deserves a little extra effort to ensure she feels secure and confident, thus being a happy, beautiful girl.
